Ok this is just confusing me. Whenever my car gets wet, like if it has been or is raining, or I wash it, my car will stutter when I try to go WOT past 4k. When its dry I get the "Vtec" sound and feel anything past 4.5k. When its wet it gets to that RPM and stutters all the way to redline. I was thinking maybe it was my crank sensor getting wet somehow, but the wires are soldered and completely wrapped in tape. Not really sure what to look for here, other than I may check my spark plugs tomorrow. Just a while ago I washed and waxed my car and took it for a drive. At first I got the stutter, shifted to 2nd and it cleared up a little, by 3rd it was gone, so what the hell?

Well. I feel you're pain, 2 years back I had a Chevy S10, anytime moisture was in the air above 65% or so "guess", or it got wet, or raining, I would get the same type of stutter, just at a certain RPM, and it would do it only above 3700 or so. BUT!

This is going to sound a bit silly, bare with me.

Check you're main grounds/body grounds, I don't know if its related, but anytime I would go above that 3700 mark, while wet, it would choke/stutter really bad.

It ended up being a ground that would start to shake loose with that much engine load/movement in the bay. Not very corroded though, just loose, replaced all bay/chassis grounds. Problem was solved, no longer had stutter in the rain, dry, nothing, so needless to say, maybe its worth a look.

Well, the obvious is something electrical, go find it

As stated, I would do grounds and battery connections first. Then its just CSI shit of looking for the bare wire, possible broken wire, possible getting wet contact. Keep in mind it may not be the water contact itself that is causing it. It may be the heavy humidity in the air.
