#134098, "varex remote controlled muffler"

Has anyone run or known someone who has run a varerx remote controlled muffler? Just happen to come across it on a website and caught my eye. I was toying around with the idea of running a cut-out down the line anyways so maybe these mufflers are an equal solution to catching unwanted eyes.

This one would help keep some what a "stockish" look

This one looks like an average muffler but still offers the control

Any input?

eh. Would it work? Probably. What happens when it breaks?

Personally I would either buy a muffler with the desired characteristics and stick with it.

A guy on dsmtuners runs one. To me it isn't worth the money. To each his own.http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/bolt-tech/345139-finally-good-quiet-muffler.html

Yeah, I definitly don't think it's worth the price, but that's why I was asking, who knows, maybe it's worth it lmao. The idea of a fully adjustable exhaust seems really cool, but doesn't mean it's as functional in the real world as they advertise. I just thought the concept was cool. If the price was more reasonable I may have given it a try. Gonna check out that thread tho..

a silencer installed plus a remote exhaust cutout has higher performance output, cheaper, and sounds much more SICK imo. same concept

Certainly not for $500...

Get an electric cutout and a stock muffler.

Well in the link posted, he said he paid a little more then $200. A much more reasonable price haha. I haven't watched the videos yet because my laptops all kinds of screwed. This is one of those things that caught my eye. didn't know if it works as they advertise it.

If I remember right he only paid 200 for the muffler but it also had to be shipped from overseas.
