Just put a brand new motor in my 97 eclipse and when I push the gas hard, it stutters really bad. But if I drive it slow and normal, it doesnt do it. Has egr block off and new fuel pump as im getting ready to go turbo. Codes thrown were p0001 and p0102. Any help would be great. Also, could it be the cat converter being clogged?

Yea i know we don't have maf sensors. I have an OBDII scanner made by INNOVA
P0001 is Fuel Volume Regulator Control Circuit / Open
does that mean the fpr is bad or is sensing low fuel pressure? It stuttered the same way before I build the new motor and it was a completely different motor. So I know its not the motor.

Hmm, I'm also having this problem, it first started at 2000 rpms, a fuel line was kinda twisted, so i fixed that, but now it happens at 3500 rpm. I just finished the rebuild, and the engine has like 40 miles on it.

Check fuel pressure, vaccum leak, coil pack, wires/plugs,cat converter umm also spark plugs heard plantium ones are bad as I've read around..but no clue.. Lol

I am having the same issue with my eclipse as well... I will get stuttering when i hit a certain rpm or I can just be siting their and rev my engine up and the rpm will start going crazy at like 3500 rpms and you can hear like a back fire.. Any1 have a idea to this??
