I actually had a bad experience with the UDP, mainly due to the shop installing it trashing it. Anyways, I'd like to give it another shot but in my searches I cant seem to find any companies still making em. Anybody know of where I can buy one?

yes UR still makes them. I know as of last year AF/X wasn't making them, but they could have started back up. Depending on whats accessories you are using, you can also use an MPx one.
