Heres the problem sometimes my heater blows hot and works. But most of the time when turn the heater fan on it blows hot for a couple seconds then back to cold. It changed my tstat and it fixed it for awhile until i drained it to put antifreeze in it. Any info before i get a new heater core would help. Thanks

Before you go to the trouble of doing a heater core, try flushing it first. You cna do it from the radiator etc, but you are better off going directly to the firewall with a hose (obviously pull the two heater core hoses at the connection at the head).

There's an air bubble in your coolant. Burp the coolant.

Every DSM I've owned had a heater that worked like Satan himself designed it.
