#132384, "FAL fans... pathetic" Nov-16-10 09:45 PM by 420agreenvilleSC
Driving, all the sudden hear clanking and sounds like the motor is falling outside of the bay... pull into a parking space and see the radiator fan assembly shaking itself to pieces. Turn out, if a blade breaks, throws off the balance of the entire fan, thus causing extremely aggressive "shaking". One fan blade on BOTH sides did this simultaneously... go figure. time for new fans i guess... ughhh

1. It's the 220 model, discontinued, although they may be able to cross-reference the P/N with an available model. I'm also pretty sure they'll charge me out the ass for it too, which makes that choice go out the window. 2. It was purchased over a yr ago from summit. I looked on my history and haven't found that order. I guess it's that old, and if that's true then i'm sure FAL would just give me the finger
Plus, I already ordered 2 fans from summit, pretty cheap, they're reversable (puller/pusher) and they flow almost as much as the FALs do

Update: well, i've decided to take dave's advice. After cross-referencing the P/Ns to the model I have, it's cheaper to replace the blades than to keep the ones that i originally ordered. props for saving me time, money and effort dave.
