Take the tube in the middle and squeeze it. There are lips that catch the box. If you press them in towards the center you should be able to slide it off. And give it some muscle, it will come off.

I think your talking about the wrong side... I got the part connected to the tube off already...I need the part stuck to the car off (its right beside the fuse cover)

It feels like there is a bolt hiding somewhere or something.

No I'm talking about the side connected to the car not the intake tube. There is another tube that runs under the fuse box and that is holding on the right side of the air filter box(rigfht side if facing the motor in front of the car) The middle of that tube holds on the right side even after you remove the three bolts.

Ok, so here I am doing my intake, and Im having the same trouble this guy did. I realized it was the lips on the tube and I got it off. And Im sitting here looking at it thinking, WHAT IS THIS DAM TUB emoji ! Ok, everyone says intake install is idiot proof, and Im sure it is, but do all you guys leave that tube there? I mean, theres like an inch of it sticking out. I cant find my 10mm socket, I bet its in my dads car.

Do you guys leave that little tube stick out, does it deliver cool air or something? I dont know if I should wait and take it out, or just put the intake in now and forget it. But it looks kinda dumb just sitting there. Please reply someone, cus my car is apart and I wanna get this done today. Thanks, Sea emoji emoji

Just take a big screwdriver and BFH to those three clips holding that half off the box on. If you have an intake, there is nothing there you will ever need again. Just snap that fucker right out. emoji

Wow old thread. I left the tube in for a while until I mounted my CD box there. It won't do any harm, and it's a pain to remove, you need to pull the wheel off and get the splash guard out of the way, before you can get it out. Not necessary to do.
