I'll see if I can find my stock TB and intake tube.

Why not base the calculations on and afttermarket intake and a 55mm TB. Sincee I wouldn't suggest doing any porting on the stock intake tube. And you'll be able to flow more air with the 55mm TB

The stock TB necks down to 46 mm on the inside. It starts out 55 - necks down to 46 - then ends up at 55.

When you bore thru it is a straight 55 all the way thru.

I already did figure out the velocity and airfkow of one with an 3" intake tube and 55mm tb, but I would like a ratio from the factory specs to see how much, may just need better cams.

I may be off here.. but i believe the stock TB is 54mm at either end, with a lip that necks it down to 52mm or smaller inside.

I know for a fact that it is not 55mm at either end. I have seen 55mm bored TB's and there is an increase of ID, possibly 1-2mm. They also have to use a bigger butterfly valve, whereas they would not if it were 55mm at either opening.

Yeah it's not as small as 46mm More like 48 or 50mm... not sure. Keep in mind the stock airbox has an accordian section and resonator that will disrupt airflow so the ratio will be off slightly.

'95 Shop manual says throttle bore is 52 mm. In that year and probably others, the TB entry was shaped differently for the AT and MT cars. The MT had a rounded entry, while the AT was pretty straight. That was supposed to provide linear "low throttle" power in the MT. That was to make it easier for the average person to drive in "stop and go" situations. I don't know if that has anything to do with the smaller diameter that some are reporting.
