#13106, "Cold Air Intake question"

I'm looking at the AEM cold air intake (is this a good choice to go with?) and there are 2 types...CAI & short ram...which one to go with? Would you guys reccomend this brand over another?...I'd like something that I won't have to upgrade in about 6 months when I put on an HRC Stage I turbo on...thanx for the input in advance!!!

AEM is a good brand. Get the Cold Air and watch out for puddles. You can't use a Cold air intake on the HRC or any other turbo kit. So if you buy it you'll have to toss it when you get the kit. Good luck.

if you are getting a turbo in six months, don't spend your money on an intake, get the oversized tb(55mm) send yours to howellautomotive to get bored out around 150 probably...or afx underdrive pulley, those two things you won't have to take off once you get your turbo

Or do what I did and buy a used intake for cheap... check the sale/wanted section... i saw like 3 AEM cold air intakes at one point for a pretty good value... you can always sell it later when you get the turbo.

Having an intake makes the car sound 10 times more aggresive.. i'm loving mine for now.
