Ok, here is the breakdown of what happened. We were working on installing fuel injectors in the car and wrapped up. Turned out my friend didn't wrap a wire completely with electrical tape so it was touching the engine. It short circuited the cpu but I replaced it last week. Now the car starts but runs funny and sounds weird. Like I'm running with 2-3 pistons only. When I gas it, it doesn't want to rev up. Could it be my timing?

Not yet. Initially, the cpu needed replacing and I did that. It started up but it started up funny. Besides the injector wiring, what else could it be?

The short could have taken out an injector.

Mine did this before. I just took the battery loose for about 5 mins, hooked it back up and she was good to go. I've also heard that some of the cpus need time to figure out what fuel trims you need so they may run funky at first but should smooth out eventually. Good luck.
