So last week i spun rod bearing number 1, Well not so much spun anyways, I was wondering what all of you fellow 2gnts members ran for main and rod bearings in YOUR built motors had alot of poeple tell me clevite or acl..

All my friends with 46g3 cars tell me what they use, but id like to know what you all use in your cars.

Actually........on the turbo I kinda did. I used ACL's on the mains and Clevites on the rods.

I generally use ACL's all over. BUT I change my rod bearings (on the race car) at least once a year (like as a maintenance item). IMO, you won't go wrong with ACL's or Clevite's. Haven't had a problem with either.

i did that too mark on my setup. I meant using an ACL on the upper rod half, then an OEM on the bottom, next rod top half clevite, etc. rainbowwwww lol

Last engine i built (4 cly) was Clevite
last V-8 I built was Engine Pro (ACL) no problems on either
