Ok Ive had this problem the entire time Ive owned this car. It happened first with the stock ECUs. Code 11 would pop up, Im going to assume everyone reading this knows what that means. The car would stall, if left in gear would start back up and keep going. I thought this was my ECUs being junk.

After getting my MS installed, I noticed its still doing the same damn thing. Tried a brand new Crank sensor from Auto zone, powered by TPSvref off MS. It will happen at random times, cruising, accelerating, decelerating, idleing. It will lose the signal for a fraction of a second, the MS would show 0 RPM, and then the after start enrichment would turn on, acting like the car was just restarted. Im honestly starting to think theres a serious problem with the pickups on my crank. Ive tried at least 3 different sensors, all had the metal on the outside, not the black plastic. The only thing I noticed is the first crank sensor I took out had contact marks on the end of it, like the crank was actually rubbing against it at one point. This is just getting really annoying.

You know this screams bad connection/split wire. Did you try replacing the connector itself? I presume that you are not using any of the stock wire except for the connector.

When I first got the car running on MS I was using another connector cut from a spare wiring harness. Chassis ground, powered from the radioshack VR I bought. It started cutting out, similar to what its doing now, but it never did it until the VR was going bad and showing 14volts going thru it. So Im not totally sure. After the sensor fried I just plugged the stock connector back in and tapped into the signal at the ECU connector. Maybe Ill try running a temporary signal wire, and if it doesnt lose signal, the factory wire would be my problem.

Its not the crank, there is no way the crank can possibly be an issue. Pull the pan and check for yourself.

Like Mark pointed out its a power or ground issue.
