Im wondering the difference in the exhaust from a rs/gs/gst and a gsx from the cat back only. I see the difference in the last part/muffler where it goes under the subframe instead of over like my rs does. will the cat back gsx exhaust bolt up from the cat on my gs. im trying to install the gsx sway bar and the muffler pipe in obvuiously in the way...

I honestly don't remember. Pretty sure the Chilton manual has pictures of the undercarriage front and rear, which would show the routing of the exhaust piping on the GSX vs GST. You might want to check there.
If you're using the GSX rear sway, logic suggests that the GSX rear section would not interfere with it, however would the GSX rear exhaust section clear the larger FWD fuel tank and whatnot?

All stock FWD exhausts are the same from the cat back with the exception of the muffler.
AWD exhausts are different in the axleback section. If you try to put a AWD exhaust on a FWD car that still goes over the axle prepare to be very aggrivated when you can't get it to quite fit.
Anything that goes under the axle will fit just fine no matter what trim you order it for.
