I just replaced my head gasket with an MLS gasket 2 weeks ago, and it's already leaking. I look around and find that people have problems with leaks caused by head bolts bottoming out. Adding to this problem, I had the head surfaced further compounding the problem.
Does anyone know if the Fel Pro Head Bolts are stock length or already shorter than stock?

ah. Damn the 420a headbolts and head. I dont know to much about the head bolts but a little research has found that the back drivers side i think will leak on stock headbolts...They say shim 3 threads off on of the short bolts...Here is a Post that might help you in making a decision. http://forums.2gnt.com/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=5&topic_id=91963&mode=full

I heard this too.
When I did mine I went with ARP headstuds which effectively eliminates the problem.
If you are redoing it, I would highly recommend buying them. Summit has them for 135 shipped and normally takes 1 to 2 business days to get to you
Also when I order something from Summit for a big project, I normally order any fluids/sealant/spark plugs/etc. I need since they have a blanket 10 dollar shipping charge and quick shipping

Thanks guys. I'll check the Fel Pro bolt length vs the stock bolts to see if there is any difference. I'll just cut that one to be certain most likely.
