I have rebuilt my motor and I'm trying to time it. However, the exhaust cam is a half tooth lower than the intake. Can anyone shed some light on this?

How much was the head & deck milled? Did you start the process with the crank gear half a tooth before the timing mark as written in the FSM?

I do not know how much but both the head and block were decked. Yes I did set the crank sprocket a half tooth.
