I just helped a friend install a set of these in his 3000gt:

Is there a product like this available for 2g's? I tried searching the web only to find the Prothane inserts, that aren't the same thing at all.

With some patience and amold you could make your own with some urethane. Hit up McMaster and pick up a tube of the durometer that you want.

Isn't this about the same as shaving a hockey puck to size?

What material are hockey pucks made out of?

Does anyone have a set of blown motor mounts laying around that I could use for templates? I'd be willing to pay for them and shipping etc...

Energy Suspension makes motor mount inserts. Not sure on the material, I think either Urethane or Polyurethane, but I can tell you this...I installed just the front and rear roll stoppers, and the motor moves hardly at all. Theres a bit of vibration inside the car now, but you get used to it and it gives you that "racecar" feel.
