I have the same problem? My muffler will be here in a few days. Do I need a 2"-2.5" adaptor? Does it sit flush together or do I need a smaller or bigger one?

All stock piping is 2" ID.

You don't need an adapter or anything.. the muffler shop can handle all that.

This is the same discussion that has been going on since the first 2GNT rolled off the assembly line. The stock piping is about 2" ID (inner diameter) and about 2.25" OD (outer diameter). It is really thick walled pipe, thats why the big difference. The problem is most pipe is sold with OD as the measurement. Aftermarket pipe generally has thinner walls, so you will see a flow difference with aftermarket 2.25" OD pipe even though the stock pipe is 2.25" OD. Not to mention that the stock pipe is press-bent, so the turns are and even smaller diameter.
