Just recently the speedo on my car has been acting up. It will randomly just stop working and sometimes it just jump up and down. The weird thing is that while this is going on the speedo on my turbo timer is still working. Its just tapped into the speedo wire. Occationally the speedo on the turbo timer will also quit working. It really random somedays it will work fine and others it wont work all day.

It would seem like there could be an issue with the gauge cluster but that doesn't explain why the turbo timer sometimes doesn't work. Any suggestions on things that may be causing the problem? Thanks for any help

Did you check your speedo sensor? Could be on the way out.

thats what I would think at first, but that doesn't explain why the turbo timer would read speed fine but the speedo doesn't. Ill check out the speedo sensor when I get a chance just to rule that out.

The little clips that your cluster slide into could be loose when you bang on the speedo is that when it will start jumpin, if so your gonna have to re-solder all the little wires that connect into that clip this happens on my neon all the time.
