ok this is going to be long. first off i just purchased my clutch it is a centerforce and my LSD insert. before i purchase my megasquirt i need some opinion on where to take my fuel setup. my goal is 20 psi of boost. around 400 BHP. i know i wont hit that mark but around there is what i expect to see hopefully.

1) i have 48lb injectors but in order to get close to where i need to be i need to keep my sfmu and raise the presure to 95 psi.

2) purchase 750cc take the hit on the 48 lb'ers or try to sell them. keep the 1:1 regulator set base pressure to 45psi raised to 56psi under boost on the megaspuirt site they have a ecu map with this size injector and some same similarities that should get my car started and driveable.

3) run an 8 injector setup like jon97es with my 24lb and 48lb then the fuel pressure would only need to be about 55psi

i need to know what will be the easiest to tune and work with i do have a walbro 255lph high pressure pump i know u will ask.

well I'm running the 48lb Accel injectors with a 4:1 Vortech FMU, and Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator set at 20 PSI idle fuel pressure. I should have gotten the Vortech SFMU but bought the 4:1 before i found the SFMU. mistake on my part but my setup works. I'm running 20 PSI boost and the APEXi Neo SAFC to smooth out the idle fuel a little bit more. the MSnS would be much better to tune it with though.

i say keep the 48lb injectors, get an SFMU and the MegaSquirt. you should be fine with that set up.

what are your air/fuel numbers and how much fuel pressure are you running also what ae the duty cycles of your injectors. also that looks like the treadstone kit on the yellow car is that the one your talking about cuz that is the kit i have with the 60trim turbo

Im currently running an 8 injector setup and it is easy to tune and works great. I have 26lb (270cc) primaries and 550cc secondaries controlled by Hahn's Portfueler system. You could go that route, make your own system (there is a wiki) or try 034 Motorsports kit which is essentially identical to Hahns minus the mounting plate. Both use Split Second tuning.

That being said, if you want to run 20psi, you will need to retard spark, so it may just make more sense to go with a more powerful control system like MSnS where you have control over both fuel and spark. I am only running 16psi, so I am on the stock ignition map still and have not had issues..knock on wood.

Many routes to go with positives and negatives for each..

1999 Eclipse GS
Built motor
Hahn 16G Turbo w/ FMIC
Hahn Stage 5 Portfueler (270's & 500's)
Zeitronix Zt-2 wideband w/ 3.5bar MAP
3" SS Turbo Back
CM Stage 4 Clutch and Fidanza Flywheel
Baer Big Brake Kit

around 14.1 at idle and around 11.3 under boost. little rich under boost because i still need to get a bleed valve for the FMU to lower the pressure a little. under idle the duty cycles are real low to compensate for the injector size but stock duty cycles under boost. idle fuel pressure is 20 PSI. i don't remember off hand what it is under boost. yeah I'm running the Treadstone kit with the V trim turbo option.
