go buy a house. 20k and you want to dump it into a car with this economy.....your an idiot.

If you want an EVO8 swap then you must buy a wrecked EVO8 for all the parts.

hey, you asked for help on a public board. Take the good with the bad or go home.

Waste your money all you want. Go find a wrecked EVO8 for 10grand. Figure the rest out yourself.

Don't listen to old grumpy here. You are catching him on a good day too.

noboost sells a kit for a 4g63. start by using the SEARCH option on the forum. you will learn much.

BTW NOBODY should buy a house right now. that's the dumbest thing to do. we are experiencing the deflation of the largest real estate bubble the U.S. has ever seen. housing prices are going to decline further, and further, and when you account for inflation... EVEN FURTHER

$20K? Shit.

Put $10K down on a house. Close this week (lol). Put the remaining $10K down on a used Evo VIII-IX. When you file your taxes in the spring, take the $8000 tax credit you'll get for buying the house and pay off the Evo.

Evo 8 swap is a good way to blow 20 grand and have nothing to show for it. Hell. Dump $5k into your 2GNT. Clean it up, get some basic bolt ons, make it nice to drive and enjoy 35mpg. Then spend another $5k on a 2G GSX. You can get a nice GSX for $5K these days.

If there's one thing that depreciates faster than a house these days, it's a DSM.

The evo 8 swap is highly talked about by many on this board and every one will tell you it is not really worth it to put that much into it. You can get a motor, tranny, harness and computer for about 3k but its not from an evo 8, a little older isn't going to hurt as long as it is not from an evo 3 or before.

As far as AWD, have fun with that. There is a write up about how to put an AWD rear end in a FWD setup for a GST. It will use the same information to put it into a RS.

The most sensible thing to do is to put money down on a new evo. It will be more cost effective than trying to do a custom engine setup into a car that is now 10+ years old. I can probably say that the reason the first response was like it was is because the topic has been talked about very many times over and using the search button is the best option.

This website will show you the progress that someone has made so far and what they have had to do.

or you could contact thedawg about getting his adapter kit.

yeah I don't think it does either but might as well entertain his thoughts about it instead of giving him crap about it and telling him that his a dumba$$ for thinking about it.

Spend it wisely, guy. That amount last long, trust me I know from experience.

Yes, you can buy house, a small down payment on a foreclosed house from banks or irs.

If play it smart, you could end up with fast 2ga or 2gb gst/gsx. Find one under 5k that hasn't been beatin' on, call up Buschur buy one of his long or short blocks and either rebuild an auto or put a shep trans. This would put you at about 7 to 8 grand easliy, and you would plenty left over to play with. This is what I would do but do it your way, its your money.

But, listen to Dr.
