I'm looking to buy a Tsudo N1 exhaust, but is this a knockoff of a knockoff?

Looks good, but $50 seems rather cheap!

Yes, I'm cheap right now, but it should hold me over for a while. The stock exhaust is only held together by rust right now... not your surface rust, rot.

We will find out.

As long as you are OK with buying cheap, mystery shit, then go for it. I once bought a Pacesetter exhaust that was painted mild steel and looked like a 7 year old Chinese girl made it. I got what I paid for and it served its purpose. Just don't expect a $400 exhaust to arrive in that box. It will probably be super thin metal (note that the ad says "25% lighter than OEM exhaust system"). The piping will be shiny and look enough like 304 stainless steel that you won't return it. The piping will probably be 60mm or something slightly larger than stock. The flanges will be chromed mild steel and probably a little cock-eyed. The muffler will either super loud or restrictive or both (the core size might be 50mm). If you get it, I would probably buy the one for the turbo FWD. It might have larger piping and one less resonator.

Received the exhaust today.

First impressions: looks ok.

2 1/2" pipe, wall thickness looks ok. I'll try to install it sometime later this week. We'll see how fitment is then.

EDIT: upon closer inspection there was a restriction in the muffler bringing it to 1 3/4" diameter. That was removed in 3/4 hour with a dremel with only tack welds holding it in place, the piece looked like a tiny collector. Now it is 2 1/2" all the way through.... unless I was supposed to leave that piece in there? Oh, and the only reason it took so long was for 2 reasons: 1. I've had a few, and 2. The light on my dremel went out, I was going by feel and sound alone.

Also.... rusty bolts (hanger ones snapped anyway)? No need for a wrench or PB Blaster.. Sawzall!

I should have the car up and running within a month. My "needs" list is shrinking quickly.

Few random gaskets, thermostat, timing set, hoses and belts, a battery, and I should be good to go.

I am with Corbin though... I think this will be LOUD. Of course me removing a restriction in the muffler probably didn't make matters any better!

I had this exhaust on my car before, it was the second mod that I did(first was an AEM V2). It sounds ok, I still had the stock cat and had a good sound to it. It was a little raspy around the 4k area but for what was paid for it, it was ok. I recently got a 3" Thermal and I LOVE IT, but it was a little more expensive than the Tsudo.

I am also running the 3" Thermal
catback along with a 3" cat and Hahns 3" downpipe. I agree, it sounds spectacular. But yea, just "a little" more expensive.

Good. I'm hoping this sounds ok as well. I was used to the GST axle back on the Talon, I hope this is good as well.

So far the only issues I had were removing the thing from the muffler and having to slightly grind the flange for the axle back section so it would go around the rear suspension. Well, my main problem was getting that wheel off. The car has lock lug nuts on it and the key was not with the car... large spark plug socket, a peg-board hanger modified, and a dremel worked after a while.

I'll be getting either a test pipe or a new cat soon. The stock one is so rusted that I don't trust it, and I cannot get the last section of pipe on the car. The nut holding it on is round and I'm out of PB Blaster, so.... more work for the sawzall after I get a new cat or a test pipe.

If you dont live in an emissions state just get a test pipe. If you dont want to order one, go to a local exhaust shop and see if they are cool enough to make one for you.
