cel pops on and off when trying to start it... takes a good bit of time to start... i am losing power and yes it does stutter and buck... cant give it over 50% throttle cause she just falls on her face... and sometimes at idle she will just shudder and die... with no warning... but she does usually start right back up...

need to find out if it has a code and what it is. could be fuel related but need to start there. could be a sensor as well.

the only time it has stayed on after i started it i did the key dance and it showed as an O2 sensor... i am going to replace as soon as i have a spare 60 bucks around and i am hoping that solves it... but the problem is that the cel has only stayed on once after i started it... is there a way to check the functionality of the cam and crank sensors with a multimeter?

If it fires at all it isn't the cam or crank sensors. I'd start by checking the free stuff.

Pop the radiator cap when it's cold and see if the coolant is low. Your car is showing classic symptoms of an air bubble in the coolant.

As far as the whooshing sound, it could be a bad gasket on the cap that's not holding pressure, but you'd most likely get a CEL for an emissions leak.

ok well just for fun im going to replace the cap today... i tested the fuel pressure on the service port on the fuel rail and it was only reading like 20lbs of pressure... so im thinking it is time to get a new fuel pump also...

before you go putting a fuel pump in, when's the last time you changed your fuel filter? it could very well be clogged.

You sure that you are not leaking gas up under the tank right?
