Has anyone gotten a COP setup running or tried on their 420a on this forum? I'm trying to get one running this weekend since my MSD coil took a dump. I have the new coils and now working on the wiring.

Several Neon owners have successfully implemented COP with the 420A using MS-II. What type of Megasquirt hardware are you using?

MS v3 but I'm just trying it w/ the stock ecu running spark at the moment.

I have all of the coils firing but it not running right. Troubleshooting now.

Using this diagram:



I have the 300m COPs w/ a Crane HI-6DI2.


If this doesnt turn out I'll probably go w/ the 2 Accel coils like hahn used.

Hmm, I've never looked into that setup, but that wiring looks like your problem. Why are the trigger wires running in series like that? I'd try wiring it up like the Accel coils are if it were me, running a power to each coil, then the two outer coils to the appropriate trigger and the two center coils to the other. But like I said, I've never researched this setup so idk really lol but that way seems more logical.

I think the DCR setup works on our cars but not sure, you could look at it to see how the wiring is setup. But I am very sure it's not in series.

I set up a COP with LS2 coils but never really finished all the brackets ect. Running the voil is series is prolly your issue. I ran mine is parallel and the car idled ok.
