Ive been having problems with my PS and Alt belts lately. I used to have an UDP on it, it got damaged removing my motor so I put the stocker back on until I can get a new one. In the month that Ive had the stocker back on, Ive had to buy 3 belts and the current one will not quit squeeling. The alt belt seems to have seated now that I bought a new one for it, but Ive been having the common problem of whenever I take the car to redline the belts will pop off.
The PS belt is just being a huge PITA. Whenever I start the car, whether its sat 5 mins or all night, the belt will squeal constantly. Doesnt get worse when I turn the wheel, just replaced the PS pump. It will go away completely if I rev the engine to about 5k or so, but come back after I start it again. The belt isnt over tightend/loosend, and spraying the belt or the tensioner and bearing makes it go away for seconds at most. Im starting to wonder if its this cheap Duralast belt, but is there anything obvious to check for? I think the only thing else I might have noticed is the squeal gets worse when I turn the A/C on, but the compressor spins freely and for quite a while when I turn it.

Agreed. I had to pretty much max out my electric impact to get mine seated all the way. I actually had to loosen it a few times and just drive it in with the impact and finally I got it seated.

Thanks for your help guys. My crank pulley was off a few MMs, and I got that lined back up. It was still squealing after I put it together so I left the car running and tried to tighten/loosen the PS belt. Well it turns out, I just had the tensioner bolt too tight! I guess it was squeezing the tensioner and bearing to the point it was preventing the bearing from spinning freely and dragging on the tensioner. So now I have a bit of slack in both belts, enough to hold them on, and the tensioner tight but not strong armed. Took her up to 7k earlier and didnt chuck any belts, so hopefully they hold on from now on.
