#127349, "what dashlight is this?"

so on monday i replaced my alternator and car has been running great. a light has just begun to come on and im unsure of what it is...ive tried searching but nothing as im unsure of what to even call it.

the light looks to like it is a house...warning me to get this car home asap.ha. anyways if idling theres no light, but if i accelerate, it flickers its way on and as soon as i let off accelerator, it stops.
for example at a smooth steady 50 mph drive, no light, but give it some gas to bring it up to 55, the light flickers until i stop accelerating and stay at a constant speed.

im sure this is a stupid question but ive never had this light come on. thank you.

Add some coolant to the reservoir. It's a low coolant light.

yeah. well it appears that when i removed my mount to attempt to jack the engine up to remove the alternator out the top (which i after decided to not do and just remove lower bracket and slide it out down there) i pulled off the coolant reservoir to get to the bolt, well when putting it back i must have magically lined up the sensor wires on the bottom perfectly with the serpentine belt right next to it. when i was accelerating, the engine would move slightly and continue to cut its way thru that wire. thanks guys.

damn. Must have to be very low on coolant for that light to come on. When i got my car, i drained the coolant and to my surprise, i could've pissed more than what came out of the radiator. Res was dry too. Why it didn't overheat, beats me cuz now if my res is empty, it starts getting over 210 on the temp.
