Try pulling the codes again. 12 is a default just meaning the battery was disconnected recently. There should always be a 55. If you still get nothing you start checking the obvious. First check to make sure you're getting fuel. Everyone has their ways of doing this but mine is simple, unscrew and take the fuel feed line off the fuel rail and have someone turn the key to the "on" position. Make sure you point the line towards the ground and check to see if gas is comming out(I am in no way responsible if you catch you, your car, your garage, or your dog on fire with this method). If you're getting fuel put the line back on the rail. Then check spark (please let the gas dry before doing anything igntion related). You can do this first by testing the 12v power going to the coil. Pull the plug out of the coil and put your red probe(from your voltmeter/multimeter) in the middle female connector on the plug
(O.O.O) ----^---- (THIS ONE)
and your black probe to a piece of bare metal(ground). Make sure you get somewhere in the area of 12v. If you are getting fuel and you're getting a 12v signal to the coil then check to make sure the coil is firing. I do this by pulling off 1 plug wire at a time hold an old screwdriver with a RUBBER HANDLE about 4-5cm's away from the coil terminal/lead and have someone crank the car. You should see the spark jump to the screwdriver (its easier to see in the afternoon around dusk). Do this for each terminal/lead. Make sure you're wearing rubber shoes when you do this and don't touch any metal... but you most likely will get shocked at least once... it's not that bad man the fuck up. If you're getting both fuel and spark check your timing and make sure it's still lined up and didn't jump a tooth. If everything checks out ok your PCM could have taken a shit on you which is a common problem with the 95 model but usually the PCM won't self test (the check engine light wont come on... ever).
If all that doesn't work take out the best insurance policy you can get, wait 2 weeks, pull the car to the woods somewhere and report it stolen, put a rag halfway in the gas tank and light the exposed end on fire, run away, collect your insurance money, and put a nice down payment on a new car. =P But in all seriousness I hope this helps. Someone will probably jump my ass for the "ghetto-ness" of my methods but they work =)
