looking at a crankshaft and the guys says its a OEM welded and offset ground to 90mm crankshaft from Howell Automotive, not a aftermarket forged crankshaft. Wouldn't that make it weaker? Also he says it used the stock rods but uses speical stroker pistons? What kinda pistons would i need to get to run it for a turbo app. Any other comments on this crankshaft?

IT doesnt make it weaker than a factory crank at all. Welding up the journals and recutting them is as old as the internal combustion engine. Years ago replacing a crank wasnt as cheap as it is today. Machine shope frequently had to weld up the journals and regrind them to repair spun bearings ect.
Now is it weaker than a forged crank....well sure but then again so is the crank you have in the car now.
