There were a couple of questions that I have after performing the swap, because my car seems to only start after sitting overnight, or for several hours.
In the past I have had the "Hot Start" problem related to the FPR, and I assure you this is not it. The car will not start even after only running 5 seconds and then being shut down and tried to start again.
Questions: 1. Speed sensor splices into wires at the ecu, or uses existing wire ends. (Couldn't find existing wire ends, but I didn't look hard, as the guide says do it at the ECU and TCU) 2. If speed sensor is connected AT ECU where the harness plugs into ECU. Do I need to splice the speed sensor wires in, and keep the existing wires intact, or replace the existing wires with the new speed sensor wires. (meaning make a T off the existing wires or just disregard the connection that had already existed?) Note: as of now I have spliced into the wires at ECU keeping existing wires connected (I made a T you could say... idk how to say it haha) 3. Should I get rid of TCU completely (my car is year 95 where the TCU sits next to ECU) OR keep TCU and try to mess around more? 4. Should I just replace whole wiring harness and start with a fresh harness? How hard would it be to rewire around the TCU getting rid of the TCU? 5. Relays on 95 AT (there are 4) IS is possible that the relays are grounded off of each other, and after replacing relays (going from 4 to 2 relays) that the two relays are not getting grounded properly? or maybe they are run in parallel circuit? IDK why, but for some reason after exchanging the two relays and getting rid of 2 of them I don't get spark, but I still get fuel. (I just taped up the wire ends on the others to get the wires out of the way
So my car is not starting at all right now (no spark) but I'm sure if I put the relays back I will be back to where I was with sometimes it will start and sometimes it wont start.
When I crank It would just spin and spin, not even try to start at all. Then if I get lucky (let it sit overnight or a couple hours) it would start after 3 cranks.
Have no Idea what is going on, and don't even know what to search for, any help is greatly appreciated. I am thinking of just replacing all the wiring in the car. Tell me if this is a bad idea please.
