I just rebuilt my engine and I put it in last night. It went in just fine and I got the passenger and tranny mounts in place just to see how the motor sat. It didn't sit very well. The crank pulley is touching the frame and the bracket for the rear motor mount looks like the engine needs to be rotated towards the radiator in order for the holes to line up. The transmisison is also touching the frame where the axles go in. I'm sure the crank pulley is seated all the way because its not moving at all. The only other thing that i changed was i bought new passenger and rear motor mounts. I just don't see how new motor mounts wold cause this big of a problem. TIA

so you've only got 2 mounts holding the engine/trans in? I bet it'll stop rubbing once youve got the front and rear mounts in. the weight of the drivetrain is probably pulling the front end inwards.

Ok, thats what i was thinking it was just freaking me out a little. But while I'm at it, how much clearance is there usually between the crank pulley and the frame?

Not much. 5-7mm I'd guess
