What RPMs is my motor supposed to be at when im doing 60 in 5th gear? I only ask because i think my enigne is running like crap so if someone could let me know that would be great

I do 70 around 3000-3200 and 50 is a dead 2000 in 5th, so you should be about 2400-2600 at 60.

hmm.. i guess my tach is off then? cause at around 3000-3200 rpms im doin 80

and transmission, manual vs. auto (tcc) and if there's the 3.55 swap... i assume you have stock though. go in the spec section and get the gear ratios, measure your tire height then google rpm mph calculator and fill in the blanks

Try this out, if IIRC you should use 24.5 as your tire diameter.

That will give you a good idea.

There was a discussion the other day on chat about the mph that the tach shows on our cars. Supposedly the tach is not 100% dead on, there is some % of error, that being said I dont know if the calculator takes that % of error into consideration though.

Either way it should give you a really good estimate.

I wish I had blown it, believe me, I do...
