well here is my problem or if it even is a problem.

i changed my water pump like 2 days ago (was a pain lol) but when i finished putting everything together i fired it up and the idle was kinda low to me it was around 600-1200rpm and it kept bouncing from 600-1200 kinda looked like it was bogging =(

its at TDC btw... can anyone give me anything to check for or to search for... last thing i just replaced my spark plugs today if that helps

the more i think about it i think its out of timing but i dont know

I'd double (and triple) check your timing

Is it loping like its cammed? My timing is off a couple teeth and it lopes like there's cams in it. Or does yours bounce around without a particular pattern in idle?

I remember those days, I got asked if the car was cammed quite often. (That's what happens when you have someone else do the work I guess) Fixed my timing and no more lope

if it's timed as bullet's link provides, it should fire right up. After timing it, give it about 3 full revolutions by turning the crank pulley and seeing if you are still timed correctly after that.

you can turn the crank pulley by ratcheting the crank bolt on the pulley with a ratchet.

if you check everything and it is timed correctly, then the question would be, do you have a CEL? If your coolant sensor is not working properly you will have a bad idle that jumps around.

Another thing, a dude here used to recommend making sure that you don't have an air bubble in your coolant system.

good luck

I wish I had blown it, believe me, I do...

I think you meant to say 2 full revolutions (or 4), since the Crank spins around twice to the Cams single revolution.

But you are right on the money. This should be done as a double check everytime you are installing a timing belt.
