Only time that ever happened to me was in my old Celica when the battery exploded and caught on fire.. yes, exploded. Surely that isn't your problem, though..

yes, it started back up, but it took like 6-8 cranks to actually get it started with my foot half way on the gas pedal so the RPMs wouldent tank on me. Its fine as long as I keep the RPMs above 1000 so the engine wont die on me. Its like there is no idle control whatsoever, it just drops and the engine dies. Also, earlier this week I was working on my turbo intake and I was moving some stuff aroudn and in the process i accidentally mixed up the vac lines on my EGR (the plastic part) and then the "service engine soon" light came on. I flipped the lines and now the light is gone, could this be at all related?

Check the cam angle sensor, crank angle sensor, and fuel pressure!

Stick something in the fuel rail test fitting, be careful, if it's pressurized, it'll spray! if nothing comes out, you have a fuel pump issue.

Crank angle sensor info:
CAS

Cam position sensor info:
CMP

Could be fouled plugs due to a leaky valve cover gasket rings. You may be washing the oil off the plugs with fuel at the higher rpm.

check the idle air control valve. Sometimes if you are having to give it gas to get the RPMs up and the engine running at a certain range that can be the case. My Jeep and my friends eclipse did the same thing and when I replaced that, the problem was fixed.
