#124170, "AEM test car"

I put in to be a test vehicle for AEM on the internet about 6 weeks ago and they contacted me today!

I have to put the stock intake back on so they cad dyno it against their new AEM V2 CAI. I get that unit free for letting them use the car. Cool!

They said they might use the car to test their adj. cam gears in the near future too since it still has stock cams.

If there's anyone else in SoCal now's a good time to contact them. Good luck!

This post is real time today. I didn't even look for old threads on this because it's happening now-to me! Yea for me!

The reason I posted this is because they're looking for more cars and if anyone is local to Hawthorne they may stand a good chance of getting in. Just watching out for my bros here. emoji

It seems odd that they would jump into a market with no growth potential.

maybe its part of a progression verification program. emoji
where in order to be able to test say a stand alone system or something like that, they are progressively verifying their entire lineup to show valid results and not just dropping it on and saying "look our system makes Xhp!"
then they can say we went from stock to X using these, while having the numbers to back it up.

i will agree that the market potential for the 2GNT is slowly dropping, however with our cars now being available at decent prices they may see something we don't. (i like to think that this place is what keeps most of them on the road anyway emoji)
hell, look at all the stuff out there for the 96 and older civics and such. those never seem to go off the scene and companies still pour money into parts for them.

That's all very interesting. I've often wondered about how many of these cars are left on the road and what condition they're in. I have no idea why AEM wants to test a twelve year old car either but I'll ask Ken when I go there next Wed.

This is off the cuff but I firmly believe these cars will appreciate in value sooner than later. People seem to get all impressed with mine for one reason or another.

it's kind of like my Eight-six, there is actually more stuff available over here now than there was 5+ years ago, and the car is 25 years old.

AEM called me today and said they ran across some old info that fit their criteria and they no longer need my car. emoji

I think they found another car with lower milage. Ken told me earlier they were concerned because I have 140,000 on mine. But whatever.

Sorry guys.
