I bought a set of .020 over bore pistons and have a few questions. I believe everything is set up right, but a second opinion couldn't hurt. First off is it correct to have the arrow facing the front of the block along with the slit in the rod facing the front also? Next up is the markings on the piston rings. The top and bottom compression rings have markings N50. Should those markings be facing upward? Finally the oil rings. They have a shiny outer edge that should face the cylinder walls correct?

The arrows mean to face them to the front of the block and I believe the numbers would be facing up on the rings. My pro seal rings had circles indicating to face them up. The slit in the rod is just to make sure that you match up the cap to the rod that’s it nothing more. Don’t forget to place the rings in right way and gap them. No 1 ring: 2 o’clock No 2 ring: 7 o’clock Top spacer for oil ring: 5 Bottom spacer: 11 Btw, you should have went for je and eagle rods instead of stock again
