I just replaced my rear main seal thanks to the help of everyone at 2gnt. While i was doing this i noticed the tranny mount was broken due to the fact that only the front bolt was on and not the back two causing the mount to break off and just hang there. The back two studs were stripped thanks to the previous owner. So i bought a new mount froma autozone (i like O'reilleys better). The point on the mount where the bolt goes thru the rubber stuff (or whatever it is) was about a half inch or so higher. I was told this wouldn't hurt anything. But after i was done i noticed some vibration in the gas pedal that wasn't there before the fix. I was just wondering if this would cause the vibration and if not, what else could. TIA The red shows where the bolt was located on the new mount.

The extra vibration is just because you have fresh rubber that is actually still hard and not mush like the old one, not to mention the fact that the other bolts were broken and not transferring the vibrations as well.
try putting solid mounts in, you'll think the car is gonna shake apart for the first few times you drive it.
