Okay, so i've been driving on my new engine for over 500 miles without a single problem. The other day i replaced my brake light switch. I had been playing with my car one night and when i hit 6 grand at WOT the car stumbled, then kicked back in, then stumbled, then kicked back in. Very quickly. I immediately thought i had just destroyed my motor. Nope, motor was fine. So i went about my buisness for a few days with no problems, then was racin a teg on the way home. Same thing, under heavy load around 5-6k in 2nd gear it did the same thing. So i decided to lay off it till i got a chance to work out the problem. Well, coming home from work last night i got maybe 1/10 mile down the road and it started haveing the same problem only at a much lower rpm. Just normal driving conitions. It was almost as if the car was shutting off then turning back on. Like i was flipping the key in the igntion back and forth, only instantly. I replaced the coil pack in hopes that was the problem. It wasn't after the electrical got a chance to heat up it started acting up again. I feel its a sensor but i'm not sure were to start. It has fuel fuel cause it will pop out the exhaust if it misses too much. So fuel isn't the problem, cause the fuel is flowing wether it runs or not.

I'm confused, please. andy advice is appreciated.

first...

STOP STREET RACING!

ok, had to get that off my chest. since it seems to happen when everything is warmed up I'd start checking the obvious things like your cam sensor wires that run right past the EGR pipe. those things have a nasty tendancy to drop down on the hot pipe and melt/short out.

same wires but different cause, I have heard of bad engine mounts allowing too much movement of the block under load which pulls the cam sensor plug loose for a fraction of a second killing the ignition and fuel until the engine straightens out and things reconnect

I'd check those things first

+1 for the wires on the EGR tube.

And stop street racing. The only thing your proving is that there is another idiot in a 16 second car trying to race things. I think weve had this discussion before.

mines more of 15'sss...anyway...

I've had a wire melt before and i resoldered it. I have an egr bock off now and the wires are zip tied to a mounting point far from anything hot. I'm replacing the cam sensor tomarrow and hopefully that will fix it. If it does i'll store this thread in the wiki.

Idk, so someone could look it up in, IDK, the problems section. That's what its for? right? emoji

and

for the record, i already delt with the TPS problem. It was broken too, unrelated to this though. It was a used throttle body. The problem it causes is slightly different. Not so much a loss of power but hesitation.
