Well, here's my 2 cents. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Apex exhausts. Shaun Frank has one on his RS. Its sounds pretty good, but the quality isnt exactly impressive. Especially for the price. As far as Tanabe, I dislike them. Just a personal thing. Now about the size of the piping. 2.5" is probably the best diameter use when going the N/A route. Also, these catbacks designed for the GS-T's often dont have any resonators. This will give your car a really nasty farty noise. The turbo on a GS-T acts as a perfect resonator, so there's no need for one to be inline on the piping. About 3" giving big losses, yeah, you'd probably see a small loss of torque in the lower RPMs. Maybe. Nothing you'd notice. I have a 3" Greddy Power Extreme catback, and personally, I would have nothing else. Didnt seem to slow my car down any. The quality of the Greddy PE and Evo systems are unmatched, and the sound is something you wont hear from any other exhausts. After three years of use, its still flawless. It is quite loud though. Makes the Apex'i sound quiet in comparison.
