I used a scantool on my car and this code came up 118 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input can someone tell me what exactly this code means?? My car won't start, and if by some chance it does start, it runs like total s%it!! wayy rich and the fans fon't come on, is this part of the problem?? Thanks
Coolant Temp Sensor (CLT). There are two of them - one for the gauge cluster and one for the ECU. Basically, you need the one for the ECU. It runs about $25 at Autozone.

Not off hand. Just call up Autozone and ask for the coolant temp sensor. Tell them there are two of them, and you need the more expensive of the two. Although I would adivse replacing them both. It's less than $50 for both. If the one is shot, chances are the other isn't too far off. They're right next to each other and whatever caused the failure of the CLT likely is working against the gauge sensor as well.
