Hey everyone. Kind of new to posting, but not to the 420a motor. I don't know if this has already been posted or not, but if not then I have the belt size to keep your ac and remove your power steering. The belt size is Gatorback 4050345. All you have to do is loosen all the bolts all the way, angle the compressor towards the crank pully, slip the belt on, use something to pry against the radiator support and push the compressor back towards the bracket and tighten the bolts. By the way this belt size is for the afx pully. Like I said if this was posted previously then sorry for the repeat. If not then enjoy the info

Wow quick answer. Actually not having powersteering isnt that bad. As long as your moving a little its pretty easy. Plus it cleans up the engine compartment, and frees up a small amount of power

only reason i say its a must is because my belt recently shredded to hell, and i had to drive out through this tight windy canyon in the rain...it was a BUST! the carhandles and responds so much better with powersteering. in my opinion, at least
parking lots were murder on 235 tires too, ugh

I should have mentioned that when you removethe p/steering there is no belt adjustment. The belt size I listed is the perfect size, no adjustment needed. As far as steering is concerned, I did not drain the fluid from the rack. You want fluid to remain in there as to lubricate internal parts, you just have to run the two lines in series. Maybe my car is different than the rest but it really isn't that much harder, also the steering is ultra responsive

i like the way the car handles with no powersteering, but parking lots suck major ass. especially when there's a line of cars waiting for you to get into a stall which is taking forever b/c turning the wheel is a bitch.

I know this is over a year old post, but for the record I went out last night and picked up the belt part number listed, and that fucker would not fit on for the life of me. The belt is 34.5" long and was going on a AFX UDP.
I unbolted the AC motor and was able to fit the belt on then, but trying to bolt the motor back up to the bracket was a no go. The bolts would not line up as the belt was too short. Even prying it back to place didn't yield enough room for bolt fitment.
The only reason I brought this back up was to clarify that you might need to find a belt thats 35 or 35.5" long instead of the 34.5". I'm taking back the one I got yesterday and getting one slightly longer.
