#122458, "HESITATION FIX"

Hi everybody Im writing from Costa Rica to tell you How I fixed the hesitation that many eclipses has.

Checked the drivers side of your engine their is a camshaft position sensor it could be leaking oil, or not working at all and your computer would not give any code just EGR code, misfire but not this sensor code. This I know cause in here we have a ECLIPSE CLUB were 10 eclipse had the same problem and all of them had the same sensor or conection bad.. So I hope with this I could help somebody!!

My car also had that awful problem I fixed it 6 months ago.. I fixed it for good! Not problems at all since then!!!

(sorry for my english!) emoji

mine came unplugged once when putting intake back on. Had a code for cam position sensor. 1998 eclipse, not sure what year you have.
my car would barely idle the first time i tried to run it unplugged.
then turned it off then onn and got Cam position sensor error code. dont remember the number.

Could be a couple of things, the sensor was starting to go bad but not throwing values out of range yet and replacing it solved one issue, on top of egr going bad. i dunno... emoji

My eclipse is a 95 RS. But I also help a friend with a 97 that had the same problem. I also had the EGR code I clean It and the code disappear but the hesitation was fixed by changing the cam sensor and also I fix the conector cause it was really loose so my car sometimes hesitates and then not.. but with some glue I fixed the conector and problem solved..
