Put the stock exhaust back on my car and found the studs on the cat were stripped/broken. For some reason I have a gst cat lying around... are they the same? I think I've heard the one flange is at a slightly different angle. Can anyone verify?
EDIT: also, anyone know the size of the studs? I think one of them is still good so I might just buy a size smaller bolt/nut combo.

only if its verrry cheap... if the gst cat flange is indeed off a little, i can cut and weld it right which will just take a little bit of time. but if i can get yours i'd rather save myself the hassle.

The downpipe-side flange is perfectly horizontal on the GST cat, and its rotated about 30* on the 2GNT cat. You CAN cut off the flange and re-weld it, but you will have to have a beefy cutter as the pipe is really thick at the flange. You will also need to cut away about 1" of the heat shield.
It's best to tack the flange on while fitted underneath the car so you get the right angle.
My cool chinese muffler guy did it for $23. Just make sure you can see light through the entire cat, and the catalyst is completely white on both ends with no chunks or broken catalyst mesh before deciding to modify a used cat.
