#121687, "Are the starters the same?? PLEASE HELP, need to buy ASAP" Jul-23-06 10:24 AM by Sean_neo
Hey guys, so I found out the problem is the starter. My second problem is I live in Toronto Ontario...Meaning nobody sells mitsubishi parts for our cars cus we never had mitsubishi up here when the 2G's were out.
I can get starters for a talon or a neon though--does anyone know if they share the same starter for the same years as in our cars?
My only other option is going to mitsu any paying them the $308 they want for a new one.
Thanks.
Ps, the starter I need is for a 96 eclipse. Standard RS

The non-turbo Eclipse and Talon are exactly the same mechanically. The only difference is that Eclipse's were usually better equipped and the obvious exterior differences. The same goes for the turbo models as well. Now, since the engine bay is almost all Chrysler anyways, I bet it would be cheaper to get a starter through Chrysler anyways. But they will be the same anyways. Hope this helps.

95-99 Eclipse, Talon, 95-2000 Dodge Avenger 4cyl, Chrysler Sebring 4-cyl, all exactly the same driveline. Engine parts for these cars are all EXACTLY THE SAME.
