so like at 4500rpm my car sounds turbod and i know itsnot and it just started doing this i have heard about this on my friends eclipse but imn not sure if it was like this. its pretty funny i curise the wisconsin dells revving it up now and peolpe think im turbed and im not but i need to know whats worng so i can fix it thanks

Does it only happen under load or can you reproduce the noise from a stand still? Could be a vacuum leak but you're gonna have to be more descriptive.

it happens at 4500rpm i mean weather im driving or in a parking lot
(not moving) would this be pricy to fix

You should check if you're leaking air. Intake, exhaust manifold gasket, downpipe gasket, etc.

If you still have the stock shitty exhaust it's going to do that until you change it.

I tried looking for my post from 3+ years ago and couldn't find it, but this is old news.

I have a few exhaust leaks, mainly in my flexpipe. It causes whistling under mid to high RPMs. Just buy a GS-T muffler and it will drown out the whistle emoji

Ive heard a stock muffler whistle before.. also a leaking throttle body gasket will whistle

i've had that same whistling, and i just found out that i have a hole in my flexpipe, so what j eclipse said would definitely make sense
