#121560, "VC Gasket Question"

Ok, so im planing a trip on my 2gnt, and want to get some stuff done before i do. And it is to change the VC gasket, which ill order from parts Dinosaur along with Spark plug gaskets. Now here is my question:

Aside from losing Engine Oil, what other effect would leaky VC/Sparkplug gaskets have on performance?

I was guessing maybe compresion? Vacuum? I just wanted some of the pros to help me out with this doubt i had. Now to go order those gaskets! emoji Thanks in advance!

Excessive oil into the combustion chamber through the plug seals. Would result in oil being burned. Smoke is a bit embarrassing if you ask me. Might serve to foul plugs, affecting mileage to boot.

Easy fix.

Thank you very much DR1665! surprisingly though, the only smoke that comes out is from the engine area(very little), none from the tail pipe, or is that what you meant from the begining? I also want to change some of my fuel system components: Injectors, Pump and Filter. Since ive got the car the idle has gotten much better, but still not as smooth as i want it. Now hat i got a little money to spend i want to buy a decent tool set to accomplish these tasks. What do you guys recommend? i know for the filter i need two of the same wrench, ill buy extras localy. Since i atmost want to spend $100 do u guys know of anything in my price range? (guess ill get the tq wrench at Autozone)

P.S. sorry to turn the post into another topic emoji
