Ok guys I got a question I just baught a mechanical tensioner and put it on. When i tension it up should i put a 1/8 rachet in and turn it counter clockwise until it stops ? or is there a special half way position its suppose to be in before i tighten the center bolt with a 13mm socket?
I would have gone by the directions but there in chinese.
And Ive searched on this site and have found no details on the certain position its suppose to be in. ;[[[[

I first turned the outer plate clockwise to adjust it as loose as possible to get the belt on. From that point use a 1/8" ratchet extension and drive to slowly turn the plate counter-clockwise and watch as the small tab behind the idle pulley will begin to rotate clockwise. Stop when the tab lines up with the metal spring arm as shown in the photos.

Watch the video. Notice that as the outer plate turns counter-clockwise, the rear tab will beging to rotate clockwise as tension builds. Stop when the tab lines up as shown. Using a wrench on the the balancer bolt, slowly rotate the motor through several clockwise revolutions and watch the tension tab move back and forth. The tab should come back to the same position when you reach TDC again.

I figured it out after playing with it for a while but now i know its "right"
