I bought this car because It was a deal I could not pass up (97 Eclipse GS with 40,000 miles for 7500). But the con was that it was an automatic. I need to shift this sucker my self and I just got done spending 700 on custom stereo/sub work. Not to mention other work and money I've put into this car. But this automatic gots to go. What are the costs for something like this? I figure the ECU will need changing, and clutch, tranny, shift linkage to be installed. Motor mount maybe? Has anyone done this before? If so, where and how much? I need to get this done ASAP. My hand burns every time I have to touch an automatic shifter. Power is not the issue or I would just buy a turbo kit. I must shift!

It has been done but I don't know what the cost was. You may want to send a message to Avenger on the board here because I know he is going to be doing it soon.

Trisha's swap is already done. It's running good too. My car goes under the knife the 1st week in Feb. Can't wait. After my car gets done I'll post pictures of the swapping and see if I can get a how-to from ARD.
