#121241, "No Start - Code P0106 - MAP Problem?"
Sep-28-06 01:09 PM by eclipse982nrRST

I put in a new FCD today because my other one fell off the bracket I had it on and got crumbled. Long story short, the car will start and die instantly. I have a code for P0106 - MAP CKT Performance or something like that?

Is the FCD causing too high or low of voltage for it to even start and run? I havent hooked up my voltmeter to it yet because its at work, but is this what this code resembles? Too high or low voltage to it, or is it something else with the MAP wiring maybe?

Thanks.

I would like to add that also before this hapened, the last time i drove it, i could not get into boost w/ hardcore bucking, probably fuel cut. I am guessing that is when my FCD probably fell down and got all fucked up.

I am thinking that obviously the FCD needs adjusted, but if this is the reason its stalling, how does the ecu see boost upon start up?

Sounds like its installed incorrectly..
If the map sensor is not connected the car will stall right away.
Sounds like its not outputting any voltage at all or something.
Time to get out the voltmeter

Well I brought my voltmeter home for the weekend, and lowered the voltage on the FCD to 4.5v. I have a good ground for the connector, I have my +5v and my signal is now set to +4.5volts. Same thing, car will start and die instantly. I used a new pigtail from a GM TPS sensor, it is identical to ours.

I dont understand why it wont stay running.

Someone shed some idea. I gotta get it running before the track day comes, and that day is slowly creepin up on me emoji
