I just put on my pacesetter exhaust this weekend and got my OBX muffler welded on yesterday and it sounds good as hell (a lil loud though) and its angled and all good looking and what not, but the damn thing is rattlng like a son of a bitch. When I took it to the muffler shop I asked them to look at it and see if they could find where the rattle was coming from and they supposedly fixed it but its still there. Have you guys had any probs with your exhaust rattling??

yup, check the rear crossmember. u need to shorten a hanger that sits on the driverside probably. thats what i needed to do to get mine to stop rattling.

well did your rattle all the time or just when it was warm, cuz mine only does it when its warm. I thought it was something in my spare tire well, but I checked in there and its pretty empty. If that is it, how much did it cost you to get it modified

mine rattles when its cold, and when im making right turns (centrifical force). i havent had anyone fix it cuz i cant hear it when the stereo is turned up, only when family is in the car, and i gotta drive like a normal person.

a muffler shop will probably charge u like 5-10 bux to cut the old hanger off, and weld in a new one. probably take em like 5 minutes or less.

to see whats bangin, jack up the rear end while the exhaust is cold, grab the muff, and by using a light and your ears, wiggle the muffler. this should create the noise that you are hearing, so u can pin point it. then when u go to the shop, u have an idea of what needs to be fixed.

oh yeah, when u installed the Psetter, did u remove the metal inserts in the rubber hangers?? you are supposed to. just fyi

yeah i removed them, the exhaust wouldnt fit with them in there. Ill just have to check it out later on. Mine starts rattling after i make right turns too and stops whn I got left (hard turns). Thanks though man
