From 1000-2000 RPM the car stutters a tiny bit (really small) but I can feel it shake the car. The car has gotten slower as well. Its a 1995 Eclipse RS. Also the noise from the exhaust has changed, its not consistant anymore, it sounds like theres a little tick in between.

I want to know if its running on like 3 cyl... would it throw on a CEL? Because it hasn't done it so I have no idea what the hell is going on. This is suppose to be my reliable car.

LMAO!!!!
But seriously, start pulling plugs while the engines on and if it doesn't sound any different when u pull one of them then thats your dead one. it could also be timing related. good luck man.

Cyl 2 isn't working. Any suggestions? I'll check the spark plug in a bit.

I'm almost positive the compression is okay. I checked it a few months ago and it was fine.

How can I check for spark from the wire?

I put a spark plug at the end of the wire and grounded it... Is that correct? There was no spark.

with the car running... or someone trying to start the car, with the plug wires attached to the coil... put the part you are plugging onto the plugs.... put it close to the valve cover... if it arcs, you will see and hear it... if not, you're probably not getting spark.

Good troubleshooting, fellas. Are the plugs new as well? Have you double checked the connection on the coil?
