I just bought a 99 eclipse and it has some minor wireing problems and I need some help with figuring out which wire goes were. I did a search and nothing came up.

Here it is...
1. What color wire goes to the sending unit on the thermostat housing that goes to the coolant temp gauge on the dash? The people befor cut the wires.

2. What color wire goes to the starter to turn it on? aka." the exciter wire".

ecu pinouts found on the main page for future reference. That's for a 98, they don't have a 99 up there so I'm assuming it's the same. You won't find the thermo gauge wire on there because it doesn't go to the ecu, but I'm sure someone here can tell you really quick.

Thanks for the info man! I hope someone can help me. All I need to see is the color of the wire where it goes into the sender...the little one with only "one" connector on it,just below the coolant temp sensor.


Also is the "exciter wire" for the starter black/yellow?

never mind...I figured it out.
